Chapter 6, A Narrow Encounter
Yun Feiyang held his breath and said, "Young Master Rui, I was sent by Boss Li to deliver goods to the Third Madam this afternoon"
Yun Feiyang, having devoured a large bowl of beef noodles, contentedly walked out of the noodle shop, only to bump into someone. Looking up, he realized it was his old rival, Young Master Rui. Yun Feiyang smiled and said, "Oh, it’s Young Master Rui. You’re still out so late." Since Young Master Rui was indeed his young master, Yun Feiyang naturally spoke with utmost respect.
In the evening, Yun Feiyang walked out of the Suo residence. His steps felt somewhat unsteady; this woman, when she went mad, was not just any kind of madness. It was hard to tell that the usually noble woman was completely different in bed. Yun Feiyang whistled a cheerful tune, dragging his weary steps back to his small courtyard. He needed to catch up on some sleep; today had been quite exhausting.
The person referred to as Seventh Master shook his head and said: "There is no need for that. This is something he must go through; we can only accompany him until he turns eighteen. The path beyond that will have to be faced by him alone. If he relies on us for even this little bit of situation, then our efforts would have been in vain."
He felt a bit dizzy after taking that punch to the face. He couldn't let this blow go unreturned. He wrapped his arms around Li Rui in a bear hug, then exerted force with his legs, causing both of them to fall to the ground simultaneously. The two began to roll on the ground, occasionally exchanging punches and kicks. In such close combat, Li Rui's formal techniques were rendered useless. Yun Feiyang had grown up in street fights; he and his chubby friend Hua, along with a group of little kids, had long been involved in brawls with other children in the neighborhood, making him an expert in chaotic fights. His fists targeted the most painful spots, and soon Li Rui's nose and eyes had taken several hits, quickly leaving him looking just like Yun Feiyang.
Boss Li's family education is quite strict. If he were to find out that Li Rui and Yun Feiyang had fought, Li Rui would certainly face serious consequences. Therefore, he readily agreed. The two of them then set off together to a secluded alley.
Li Rui originally thought that he had spent a large sum of money to learn martial arts, hoping to redeem himself, but he did not expect such a result. Filled with rage, he pulled out a dagger from his pocket. Typically, practitioners of martial arts are awarded a short sword. However, Li Rui was the type who would fish for three days and dry his nets for two, and if it weren't for the fact that Boss Li had paid a hefty sum, the owner of the training hall would have long since kicked him out. Thus, while others received short swords, this unworthy Li Rui was given a dagger. The owner of the hall had issued strict orders when distributing weapons to his disciples, forbidding them from using them against ordinary people who had not trained in martial arts, or they would face severe punishment from the owner. Although the owner of the training hall was merely a novice martial artist, he was considered a master in the town of Seven Heroes, and even Suo En did not dare to provoke him.
Two people stood facing each other. According to the rules of the training hall, Li Rui had to bow before the match began. Just as he raised his hand, Yun Feiyang charged forward, completely disregarding any rules. Having been accustomed to fighting in the wild outside, he only knew that the first to strike would gain the advantage, while the second would suffer. He had no regard for such trivial customs.
Yun Feiyang knew that although this young man was a year older than him and had studied at the martial arts training hall for over half a year, reportedly making significant progress in his skills, he was inherently a spoiled rich kid and could not possibly have learned any real abilities. Yun Feiyang believed that he still had nothing to fear from him
Li Rui, while fighting, said with great pride: "Yun kid, I wonder if you still think you're so arrogant? If I don't beat you to the point of begging for mercy today, I swear I'll take your surname."
Li Rui was clearly taken aback by Yun Feiyang's unconventional approach, as he was suddenly caught off guard and received a heavy punch to the jaw. He felt a bit dazed. Although Yun Feiyang was not as tall and robust as Li Rui, who was a year older, he managed to force Li Rui to retreat repeatedly due to having the upper hand, leaving him in a state of disarray.
Yun Feiyang took a breath and said with a smile, "To say that fighting must adhere to rules is nonsense; my rule is that whoever cannot withstand it loses. What kind of ridiculous rules are there to discuss?"
However, Yun Feiyang's fighting style is still somewhat predictable. After a few moves, Li Rui managed to regain his composure. After creating some distance, Li Rui assumed a ready stance. Yun Feiyang charged forward again, but this time his luck was not on his side. Li Rui raised his left hand to block Yun Feiyang's punch, then swiftly rotated his left hand, neutralizing Yun Feiyang's force. Seizing the opportunity, Li Rui delivered a right punch to Yun Feiyang's abdomen, causing him to double over in pain like a shrimp. It seems this kid has indeed learned a thing or two in the training hall.
However, Li Rui's fists landed on Yun Feiyang's back and buttocks, among other places. Although he had practiced martial energy and his strength was considerably greater than Yun Feiyang's, these areas were relatively thick-skinned, and Yun Feiyang could still endure it. Gradually, Li Rui could no longer bear it and said, "Stop, stop, no more fighting. Why aren't you following the rules of the fight?"
At this moment, Yun Feiyang was already in a pitiful state, with his eyes swollen to slits and blood streaming from his nose. Yun Feiyang managed to force out a faint smile and said, "Good lad, you better be prepared to take my surname. However, I certainly cannot give birth to a son as big as you."
The young man said to the old man, "Seventh Master, should we go down to help him"
The fight below was still ongoing. Yun Feiyang's words had evidently enraged Li Rui; he did not expect that Yun Feiyang, facing imminent death, would still be so defiant. In a fit of rage, he stepped forward and threw a punch at Yun Feiyang's face. Yun Feiyang took the hit squarely, but he was waiting for this opportunity. He was not merely a reckless brute who only knew how to charge in and hit hard. After several rounds just now, he had already realized that this thing called "martial arts" was indeed formidable; even a waste like Li Rui had become so powerful. Naturally, he could not win by brute force, so there was only one last move left.
Yun Feiyang returned to his small courtyard and had a good sleep. In his dreams, he vaguely saw the figure of the Third Lady. The Third Lady straddled him, gritting her teeth as she moved up and down, her ample bosom swaying dramatically. In a daze, Yun Feiyang finally fell into a deep slumber
Young Master Rui snorted again and said to Tu Shu, "Sounds nice, but who knows what you have really been up to. Oh right, that Madam San is quite a character; I see she treats you pretty well usually. Are you two involved in something?" Young Master Rui laughed lewdly as he said this
Yun Feiyang is currently in a difficult situation; Li Rui's punch carries far more force than he anticipated. How has Li Rui's strength increased so much? What Yun Feiyang does not know is that the owner of this training hall is an apprentice martial artist. Although the martial energy he imparts is the most basic level of martial energy in the Wind, Moon, and Land realm, it is already quite formidable for an ordinary person like Yun Feiyang.
Seventh Master turned and said, "Let's go." Then he leaped off the roof, and in just a few movements, the two of them disappeared into the distance. Their speed was so swift that their figures almost became a black line. If the apprentice martial artist from Qixia Town had witnessed this scene, he would surely have been astonished to the point of dropping his jaw. Such skill already placed them among the upper echelons of martial artists, and their level was certainly not low. Yun Feiyang could no longer contain himself, and his tone became somewhat unfriendly as he said: "Li Rui, I know you have always wanted to pick a fight with me. I know you have been training at that ridiculous cultivation hall for a few months, thinking you are quite impressive and holding back your desire for revenge. Today, I will grant you that wish; whatever tricks you have, bring them on, and I will take them all on today."
The young man lowered his head respectfully and said: "Seventh Master is right."
Li Rui looked triumphantly at Yun Feiyang, who had bent into the shape of a large shrimp. He already knew that Yun Feiyang was far from being his match. It was as if he were a cat toying with a mouse, waiting for Yun Feiyang to regain his strength before charging in with another powerful strike, followed by a kick. This time, Yun Feiyang was truly suffering. Li Rui had been suppressed by Yun Feiyang for several years, and now that he finally had the chance to vent his anger, he naturally put all his strength into every move, leaving Yun Feiyang battered and bruised.
At this moment, two men in black are standing on the roof of a house in the alley, quietly observing everything happening below. They are an old man and a young man, and if Yun Feiyang were able to see them, he would recognize that the older man is the same old man who deceived him out of three silver coins with a tattered robe.
Yun Feiyang said: "Alright, let's compete. But we need to be clear about this. This is between the two of us, and regardless of the outcome, we must not tell Boss Li. What do you think?"
Young Master Rui's eyes sparkled slightly as he said, "You are right. You have always relied on your group of friends outside. I have only refrained from arguing with you out of respect for my father. Since you have said this today, do not blame me for being impolite. Let us have a contest today."
When Yun Feiyang woke up, it was already evening, and his stomach began to rumble. After working hard all afternoon, he had not eaten yet. He left his small courtyard and made his way to the street. It was not too late yet, and there were quite a few pedestrians on the street. Yun Feiyang's destination was the "Lu Ji Beef Noodles" at the east end of the street.
Young Master Rui snorted and said: "I was wondering who it was. Turns out it's Yun Feiyang. I thought I wouldn't see anyone this afternoon; turns out you came here. I don't know how my father employs people; he actually wants someone like you."
